SparkDay(s), The Milk for Your Summer Oreo

SparkDay(s), The Milk for Your Summer Oreo

By Kathryn_Williams

You know what's number 236 on the list of things we love about summer? That it's squashed between two holidays like a big ol' three-month-long Double Stuf Oreo. You've got your Memorial Day chocolate cookie, your Labor Day chocolate cookie, and your Fourth of July cream in the middle.

There's just one thing missing: the milk. Consider SparkLife the tall, cool glass of milk in which to dunk your summer cookie.  (That was not meant to sound creepy.) We hereby pronounce every day of summer SparkDay. Here's how we suggest celebrating:

1) Write to your local congressman or woman requesting SparkDay be made an official national holiday.

2) Begin every morning/afternoon (whenever you wake up—it's summer) with a salute to your computer.

3) Recite the Pledge of SparkLife Allegiance:

We pledge allegiance to the blog of the United States of SparkLife, and to the online community for which it stands: One nation, under SparkNotes, indivisible, with Auntie Sparknotes and Twilight recaps for all.

4) Wrap yourself in the official SparkLife flag.

5) Grab your patriotic giant frog.

6) Run around your house, neighborhood, or block waving a—you guessed it—sparkler.

7) Stay tuned for every post, continually refreshing so you can be first to comment.

How will you celebrate SparkDay(s)?
